Help us make art happen...
Your donation, small or large, will help us help Victorian artists, giving them professional opportunities to present their work in a major regional art gallery.
- A gift of $10 will buy the specialised straps we use to hang each painting.
- A donation of $100 will mean an artist’s work can be framed for a show.
- A generous gift of $500 allows us to present an artist talk, workshop or kids activity that responds to an exhibition.

RECURRING DONATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The Recurring Donation is contracted with SupporterHub (and either underlying banking partner with Fat Zebra Pty Ltd ACN 154 014 785, APCA User ID Number 50257 or Payrix Australia Pty Ltd ABN 63 135 196 397, AFSL No. 418105) and will collect the Instalments due. Outlined are your obligations when undertaking a Recurring Donation arrangement and what our obligations are to you as your Recurring Donation provider.
Debiting your account
- By accepting the terms and conditions, you have authorised us to arrange for funds to be debited from your account.
- We will only arrange for funds to be debited from your account as authorised in the Recurring Donation Request.
- If the debit day falls on a day that is not a banking day, we may direct your financial institution to debit your account on the following banking day. If you are unsure about which day your account has or will be debited you should ask your financial institution.
Amendments by us
We may vary any details of this agreement or a Recurring Donation Request at any time by giving you at least fourteen (14) days written notice.
Your obligations
- It is your responsibility to ensure that there are sufficient clear funds available in your account to allow a Recurring Donation payment to be made in accordance with the Recurring Donation Request.
- If there are insufficient clear funds in your account to meet a debit payment:
- you may be charged a fee and/or interest by your financial institution;
- you may also incur fees or charges imposed or incurred by us; and
- you must arrange for the debit payment to be made by another method or arrange for sufficient clear funds to be in your account by an agreed time so that we can process the debit payment.
- You should check your account statement to verify that the amounts debited from your account are correct
Dispute
- If you believe that there has been an error in debiting your account, you should notify us directly or as soon as possible so that we can resolve your query quickly. Alternatively you can take it up directly with your financial institution.
- If we conclude as a result of our investigations that your account has been incorrectly debited we will respond to your query by arranging for your financial institution to adjust your account (including interest and charges) accordingly. We will also notify you in writing of the amount by which your account has been adjusted.
- If we conclude as a result of our investigations that your account has not been incorrectly debited we will respond to your query by providing you with reasons and any evidence for this finding in writing.
Accounts
You should check:
- Your account details which you have provided to us are correct by checking them against a recent account statement; and
- With your financial institution before completing the Recurring Donation Request if you have any queries about how to complete the Recurring Donation Request.
Confidentiality
- We will keep all information (including your account details) in your Recurring Donation confidential. We will make reasonable efforts to keep any such information that we have about you secure and to ensure that any of our employees or agents who have access to information about you do not make any unauthorised use, modification, reproduction or disclosure of that information.
- We will only disclose information that we have about you:
- to the extent specifically required by law; or
- for the purposes of this agreement, including disclosing information in connection with any query or claim.

Terms and Conditions for Donating
All pricing and transactions on this website are stated in Australian Dollars (AUD).
Donations by individuals can be made in the form of one-off donations, regular donations or bequests. Castlemaine Art Museum will determine where the funds are directed within its services. If a donation is designated to a specific project, Castlemaine Art Museum will use reasonable endeavours to direct that donation to the designated project but is not obligated to comply with such requests. Donations of gifts in kind will also be directed as determined by the Castlemaine Art Museum.
Castlemaine Art Museum can provide official receipts for approved donations of $2.00 or more. Donors providing single gifts receive a receipt for each donation and regular gifts receive a receipt depending on the schedule selected (eg. monthly donations will generate monthly receipts). Castlemaine Art Museum accepts anonymous donations but is unable to issue a tax-deductible receipt to the donor in such circumstances.
This website is enabled for online donations using a secure donation server. However, despite the security on the website, you should be aware that there are risks in transferring information across the Internet.

General Terms & Conditions
Castlemaine Art Museum has always and will always respect the privacy of all individuals, companies and community organisations who donate money, goods and/or time to us. Personal information gathered through donations is entered into a secured database for receipting purposes. Castlemaine Art Museum will collect, use and disclose personal information in accordance with our privacy policy.
Medical Information Disclaimer: The information provided is designed to support, not replace, the relationship that exists between a patient / site visitor and his / her existing health care professionals.
Our Privacy Policy
Castlemaine Art Museum collects personal information – such as names, addresses and telephone numbers – that is necessary for its activities including:
- Establishing your membership status;
- Administering and managing donations and subscription transactions;
- Responding to your enquiries;
- Keeping you informed of upcoming events, promotions, and new information;
- Conducting surveys;
- Assisting us to provide our services to you.
This information is collected in a number of ways:
- Via your completion of a digital form, or by completion of forms such as this.
- Your contact with us by telephone, mail, at a seminar or meeting, or electronic mail or online enquiries.
Any information you provide via these means will be retained and used only for our services to you. Castlemaine Art Museum will not use, sell, rent, share or disclose any information about you. Some promotions (e.g. lotteries) involve a third party. We will provide your details only to the outside organisation for the specific purpose of providing this service.

Refund Policy
All donations, are gifts made to Castlemaine Art Museum Ltd, (ABN: 21 613 667 664) registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission.
Refunds, whether they be a Donation, Event ticket or Memberships may be issued at Castlemaine Art Museum Ltd’s discretion. Refunds are issued only in exceptional circumstances only, and only when the funds have not been granted to the charity. Some circumstances in which refunds might be issued include when the donation was:
- made in error;
- made in an incorrect amount; or
- not authorised by the donor.
Donors with exceptional circumstances such as these have 10 business days to notify Castlemaine Art Museum Ltd of any errors and make a refund request in writing.
Please note, Castlemaine Art Museum Ltd is under no obligation to refund donations made in error and does not normally offer refunds for a change of heart. It is for this reason we ask you make your decision to donate carefully.
